I’ve been working on some more pretty bookmarks for the shop!
Excited to release these next week!
That woven ribbon has so many beautiful colors, from the teal background to the turquoise owl, and the ice blue, lime green and magenta accents that frame the owl and enhance the blues. It is machine stitched onto a rectangle of steel grey linen. Matching grey satin stitch along the edges keeps this lovely little bit from fraying with use.
Available in my Etsy shop for $7.50 plus shipping.
I made a very special cocktail napkin just for my brother-in-law.

These napkins are similar to my blue pair in that they use the same two phrases and the same natural shade of linen. On the surface, they are very minimalist, just the simple goodness of linen showing its lovely self.
On the inside, tucked under the hem, is a pale yellow trim with a tiny coral berry print. The words are stamped in a subtle cocoa color along the hem.
Available at Burro Inteligente priced at $13 for the set.
This pair has trim tucked inside the hem, and a very simple outside.
Available at Burro Inteligente, my etsy shop, starting tomorrow.
I actually have several sets of napkins, including these little lovelies.
I do seriously love to make mitered corner napkins. I especially love to use linen and to feel like I am just tidying up the edges of a beautiful piece of fabric to let its homespun nubbly goodness shine through.
I’ve been working on two sets of cocktail napkins for my Etsy shop, meant to coordinate with some rustic wall signs I have been creating. Once they are measured and ironed and the angles are aligned, it’s so satisfying to flip those corners over.
The first set I jazzed up with a few simple appliqué circles. I have always loved this shade of cobalt. I also hand-stamped quotations along the hemlines. I like how they frame and center the mitering, and that the seam line of the miter almost acts as if it is punctuation.
They are available at Burro Inteligente, my etsy shop, in sets of two.
