That woven ribbon has so many beautiful colors, from the teal background to the turquoise owl, and the ice blue, lime green and magenta accents that frame the owl and enhance the blues. It is machine stitched onto a rectangle of steel grey linen. Matching grey satin stitch along the edges keeps this lovely little bit from fraying with use.

 
Words are hand lettered in purple ink onto the linen. I handcrafted a small vellum envelope for each bookmark for protection during shipping.
